WOYWW 12th April, 2017

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

This was my desk yesterday evening, with the card I had just made for a swap where you had to use peel offs.  I think I should have coloured around the sentiment in the yellow, as the purple doesn't help the sentiment stand out.

Happy WOYWW.

  2. Morning Sue. A lovely card - and some fun bits on your desk for a sneaky peek - especially the mug mat!!
    Take care. God bless.

  3. Oh, I don't know, I like the yellow and purple combination - contrasting colours work well! It's a pretty card, I like irises very much! Great card for a swap :-D

  6. Vicky, It sure is:) Thanks for your suggestion. I am worried to do anymore to it.

Shaz, Thanks. Yes, suppose that's how we get experience.

LLJ, Thank you. The more I look at it, the more I think even the yellow would have dulled the gold wording.

    Margaret, Thanks.

How could I not buy the coaster:) LOL

    Lynn, Thank you.

  9. It's a lovely card, the receiver will be able to read it at arms length when they open it, and then, when it's on the mantelpiece, they'll see the text clearly because they know what it says...a sort of mind trick! And I agree with your later comment - i think the yellow wouldn't be enough of a contrast, the purple is lovely anyway! And I love the coaster!

  10. It's stunning, and I think it looks fine just as you've done it. Enlarged the picture, and actually it does look like a shadow effect around the lettering. It's a wonderful look with these peeloffs, and that's not always easy to make it look 'not like a peel-off'. You've done a splendid job with these, and I love the Spring (or Easter!) colors of the glorious Iris. TFS & Happy Easter.

  11. I am sure that outlining in purple would have been pretty, Sue, but your creation is gorgeous-er done like this with the sunny, elegant golden outline. I love your beautiful card! Hugs, de

  12. I think the card is fine. If you had used yellow I think it would have been too similar a colour to the gold of the peel off. Sarah #9

  13. Sarah, Thank you. Agree about yellow.

    Donna, Thank you.

MaryH, Thank you for your kind comments.

Julia, Thank you. Looking at it again, even the green colour whilst making the wording stand out, would have looked odd with the leaves.

    Angela, Thanks.

No need to apologise. Real life get's in the way sometimes:)

Helen, Thanks. The peel-offs I have are years oold, so surprised they still stick:)
