WOYWW 22nd March, 2017

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

This is my desk this morning.

This is a card I made for a Swap.  The theme was a Silhouette card.

The die was free in a magazine.  I used black and gold card.  The flowers were made by a punch.

Happy WOYWW.

  2. Well, that's really nice Sue and how clever of you to think of a gold silhouette. I'd have just gone for black straightaway and your's looks so much better!! Hope you're keeping well and happy :-D

  4. Your gold and black elegance is gorgeous - I like that you were able to capture the metallic pearliness of your CS and the show with your photography. It's a beautiful card, Sue. Those corner flowers are perfectly aligned. I like that you've punched it 4 times, but then placed only 3 of the flowers at the bottom. Great design idea! hugs, de

  7. Jan Ltc, Thanks.

    SharonK, Thank you.

Donna, Thank you. I took a while to get the flowers that I had punched from each corner sorted. I knew I wanted three along the bottom, but wasn't sure about the odd one by the shoe.

Sarah, Thank you. My desk is in my living room, so feel I have to keep it tidy, but it's helped by the fact I am a tidy freak:).

LLJ, Thank you. I knew I didn't want to do black and white. the gold card is at the top of my card box.

    Margaret, Thank you.

  8. Your desk is looking very tidy! You still managed to make this pretty card without creating a mess on it, so I'm impressed! Love the black and gold motif, and it's so amazing the free stuff you folks in the UK get from the magazines. I love the corner details. TFS & have a good evening.

  11. I so want your mouse mat _ I have an upturned magazine in lieu of something 'proper' that is driving me and my cursor ( cursing?) crazy... Dx @43

    Shaz, Thank you.

Donna, I get carpal tunnel and this mat helps with that. This is the mouse mat I have: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fellowes-9112101-Crystals-Mouse-Support/dp/B0012315XU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1490282730&sr=8-2&keywords=ergonomic+mouse+mat

    BJ, Thanks.

Hope your tropical moments soon ease.

    Helen, Thanks.

Mary H, Thank you. I usually only buy the crafting magazines if the freebies are good.

  16. Hi Sue, I could have sworn I commented yesterday but seems not - just as well I checked the last link I clicked on to. Anyway, what I thought I wrote was that your desk looks so organised with everything in it's place. Also your card is great. I like that you chose gold on black for your silhouette rather than the more usual black on white - it's very effective. Have a lovely weekend. Elizabeth x #30

  17. Elizabeth, You did leave a comment, it's above the latest one.

Thank you. In a way it was pure chance that I went with the gold, as it is at the top of my card stock.
